Passion, books, poetry & barely holding up after school.
In this post I will list a few books I recommend reading and a new poem about passion!
Hello, thank you for taking a bit of your time to read this post, this is actually my third one!
After formally writing all afternoon for my literature class I can finally address you in a friendly and casual way. Alright, let’s just right into it:
Book recommendations!
- The Hunger Games series - by Suzanne Collins
- 1984 - by George Orwell (ofcourse)
- Animal Farm - by George Orwell
- The Silent Patient - by Alex Michaelides
- The Perks Of Being A Wallflower - by Stephen Chbosky
- The Fault In Our Stars - by John Green
- The Bell Jar - by Sylvia Plath
And I couldn't recommand this more:
- Dead Poets Society - story by Tom Schulman, book by Nancy H. Kleinbaum
Now, I wrote this poem in only a day (that’s big for me) and I am a bit proud of it. Because I enjoyed writing it and then reading it.
This poem is about finding passion in life and then losing it.
Passio Assassination Go search for the passion It begins with looking in ration From the sky to the crowds Hunt it mostly in the clouds Between freckles of stars And a glimpse of Mars, After you have found it Taste it a bit. Let it whisper to you secrets of memories And let yourself linger on the remedies When you find it, you'll know— leaving you yearning for more It might consume you, shatter you, make you want to go to war. Dear goodness, let yourself die in it’s hands Without being buried, you will crave what it commands Hopefully, it will stop your heart from beating Your lungs from breathing, and your mouth from eating. For the pain is far greater than death More similar to Lethe’s deep breath, Then, you lose, it just runs away It makes you think, how stupid I was to let it stay.
This is a bit uninspired post because I am drained from school and homework, so I will end it here. Thank you very much for reading, to end this on a happy note - watch Star Trek.
Good night, good morning, good evening, GOODBYE!
